Sliding sash windows are manufactured using traditional methods, but can incorporate modern draught seals, security fittings and double glazing to create efficient and practical windows, while still maintaining the period look.
Windows can be carefully matched to fit the original features of the property with glazing bars and moulding,
as well as pulleys and cords supplied and fitted.
Where original single glazed windows are replaced with double glazed sliding sash windows it may be necessary to replace the original lead weights with adjustable balanced spring counterweights (spiral balances), this is because the larger weights required could restrict sash movement.
