November was an exciting month for Parry Joinery as we took delivery of our new CNC machine. The new machine is a single processing centre and thanks to its comprehensive range of sizes and configurations it is ideally suited to the manufacture not only of standard batches but also odd or unusual-sized products. This state of the art NC processing centre offers top performance and flexibility and will enable the company to process any element quickly and efficiently.
As well as installing this high tech joinery work centre, staff have also been undergoing training in the 3D cad cam software that supports the machine and enables design and operating instructions for specific manufacturing processes. The software enables users to access sophisticated functionalities and to set the dimensions which can then be visualised on screen prior to manufacture. By enabling our joiners to effectively simulate products in 3D on a screen prior to production they will be able to create and edit virtual prototypes before finalising and starting the manufacturing process.
This investment in both new technology and staff training places Parry Joinery at the forefront of modern joinery manufacturing, enabling us to offer a fast and efficient service and to further undertake large scale, multiple, manufacturing projects.
The purchase was instigated by Ben Parry, who has been the driving force behind greater investment that will allow the company to use technology to drive the machinery operations into the next half century.
Ben joined the Company 4 years ago as an apprentice joiner, he then took a sabbatical to travel and work in New Zealand. Ben is now keen to future proof the success and growth of the business by embracing new and innovative technological advancements.
